Do you have a genuine love of succulents and cacti? We’re looking for someone who gets excited by a perfectly propagated echeveria just as much as we do.

 

About the role

Westland Nurseries is one of Tasmania’s leading retail plant nurseries, and our succulent and cacti range is growing fast. We need a passionate, hands-on production specialist to help us grow, propagate, and care for our collection — from tiny cuttings through to shelf-ready plants.

What you’ll be doing

• Propagating, potting, and growing succulents and cacti at a production scale

• Monitoring plant health, watering schedules, and soil mixes

• Labelling, pricing, and preparing stock for retail display

• Maintaining a clean, organised greenhouse and growing area

 

What we’re looking for

• A genuine passion for succulents and cacti — hobbyist or professional, we love both

• Experience in plant propagation or nursery production (desirable but not essential)

• Physical fitness — this is a hands-on, active role outdoors and in the greenhouse

• Attention to detail and pride in producing quality plants

• A reliable, team-oriented attitude
