Westland Nurseries was established in 1956 by Henry & Catherine Van der Staay on a seven hectare property in Lenah Valley. As the business developed, Westland Nurseries outgrew the original site and a new 30 hectare undeveloped site was purchased in 1984 in the coastal suburb of Seven Mile Beach.

Westland Nurseries is a large scale production nursery, totally Tasmanian owned and operated, employing over 40 Tasmanians and is still run by the extended Van der Staay family.

Westland Nurseries produces an extensive range of native and exotic advanced trees and shrubs for the wholesale and retail market, delivering all throughout Tasmania.

Our service begins with a garden consultation and continues through to delivery and planting at your site.
